Petrofer Award for picture of the year 2025

We are again proud to sponsor the PETROFER AWARD at the Leek Photographic Club’s Annual Dinner & Awards Evening held at the Lazy Trout Inn.

The standard of photography was once again extremely high, and choosing the winner was no easy task.  Voting was cast by the Petrofer family from far and wide with five different countries involved. The Petrofer trophy was presented by our Technical Sales Engineer, Duncan Haley and his daughter Isabella Haley.

Third place winner was John Coe with Lilac Breasted Roller in Flight.

Second place winner was David Travis with High Tide at Bamburgh.

First place winner was Paul Matthews with Grebe Feeding Chick.

Petrofer would like to congratulate all of the entries from this years’ competition for the very high standard of work, and especially to Paul Matthews who claimed the Winner’s Trophy on the night.  We look forward to supporting the society and presenting the award again in the years to come!
